Our lawn fertilizer story:

Green Guys was started by Dexter resident David Steptoe in 1995. David built his reputation on customized lawn fertilizer applications. "ECO FRIENDLY" was his top priority serving residential and commercial clients across Washtenaw County.

In the Spring of 2018, Todd Genske took over the business as David began his transition into semi-retirement.

Todd has strong Dexter and Ann Arbor roots. He is a graduate of Dexter High School and graduated from the MSU turf grass program. His career in lawn care has been highlighted by working at several prestigious facilities including:

  • Augusta National

  • National Golf Links of America

  • Piping Rock Club

He returned to the area and for the past 16 years has worked at Travis Pointe CC and was the Head Superintendent at Eagle Crest Resort.

Todd has been married to Sandra (Heller) for the past 16 years and they have two daughters Marissa and Alison attending Dexter schools.
